Occupational Therapy Program
TDN’s Occupational Therapy Program offers thorough home assessments to identify barriers to independent living. Our Occupational Therapist will assess the consumer’s strengths, daily routines, and the home environment, then collaborate with the consumer to implement a plan, and make recommendations for home modification or adaptive equipment, to increase the safety and accessibility in the home. This program aims to empower individuals to remain independent and safe in their home environment and community living.
Occupational Therapy Program Offers:
- Home Assessment by a Registered and Licensed Occupational Therapist; also Certified Aging in in-place specialist
- Recommendations for modifications to bathrooms, kitchens, ramps or lifts, laundry rooms, etc.
- Durable Medical Equipment Loan Closet
- Adaptive Equipment and Assistive Technology recommendations, education, and training
- Falls prevention education and training
- Referrals to local resources
