Mindset Matters: The New Disability Narrative in the Workplace

This immersive experience will help set your organization on track to be a champion of diversity and inclusion. By covering everything from hiring practices to employee development, these four sessions will prepare you to develop your company’s culture to benefit employees at all levels.

The Freak Factor-Leverage Weakneses as Strengths
Improve your business’s bottom line by leveraging the perceived weaknesses of your co-workers and colleagues. Using powerful self-assessments from Dave Rendall, author of “The Freak Factor,” you can identify weaknesses and learn how to leverage them into strengths. With the right perspective and an uncommon approach, you will find that what was once thought of as liability is actually an asset.

Unconscious Bias
Unconscious biases are social stereotypes that individuals form outside their own conscious awareness – and they can negatively impact your business and workplace. This training will cover how to recognize and navigate unconscious bias in yourself as well as your co-workers. It will also teach you how to facilitate meaningful and safe conversations about unconscious bias.

July 16, 9 a.m. – 11 a.m.
Reasonable Accommodations for Employees
Increase employee productivity and retention by promoting positive workplace culture and inclusion. This training will provide insight into reasonable accommodations, which remove workplace barriers for employees with disabilities. During this training session, participants will learn how to have conversations with employees and managers about reasonable accommodations. Attendees will also leave with an understanding of how to access resources to start or improve inclusive employment initiatives.

Motivating Your Employees
Looking to increase engagement and promote a team atmosphere? Learn effective communication techniques that will get your employees off the fence and into action. Using proven methods from Motivational Interviewing method, you can help your employees identify goals and create a self-propelled action plan.
