The Disability Network (TDN) is a nonprofit center for independent living that partners with people with disabilities so they can live as independently in the community as possible. Since 1992, TDN has worked with thousands of individuals in the areas of independent living skills development, information and referral, peer counseling, youth, and adult transitional living, and advocacy.

We are changing the conversation on disability from fear, pity, victim, and stigma to hope, opportunity, expectation, and sense of purpose. We support youth and adults with disabilities using core values in the following areas:

  • Advocacy
  • Information and Referral
  • Peer Support
  • Nursing Facility Transitions
  • Youth Transitions
  • Independent Living Skills

90% of our team & board self-identify as having a disability

The mission of TDN is to revolutionize communities to be inclusive and accepting, where all people thrive in the quality of life they create.

By 2025 Empower 5000 people with disabilities to reach their goals through our five core individual services and partner with 50 community organizations to be more inclusive through five core community services resources and education.
